MEET OUR PASTOR

Father Joe Esper

Dear Parents & Visitors of Immaculate Conception School:

The great English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge was once visited by a man who expressed his firm belief that children should not be given any religious instructions whatsoever, as this would infringe upon their personal freedom; rather, he said, when they came of age, they should have the chance to choose their own religious beliefs. Coleridge made no direct response to this proud assertion, but invited the man out back to see his garden. The visitor was shown an uncultivated, untended patch of land, and exclaimed, “Why, this is not a garden! There is nothing but weeds here.” Coleridge answered, “Well, you see, I did not wish to infringe upon the liberty of the garden in any way. I was just giving it a chance to express itself and to choose its own production.”

We all know that well-educated, socially-developed, faith-centered children don’t just happen; we- parents, families, and fellow members of the faith community- must work together to bring about this result. Faith formation that trains children and young people for a destiny of eternal life in Heaven is a priority at Immaculate Conception School. Raising your children to know, love, and follow Jesus must be your highest priority as parents, and- through a tradition of academic excellence, active involvement in the life of the parish, athletics and numerous other extra-curricular activities, and several tuition assistance programs- we stand ready to assist you in meeting this God-given responsibility.

Our school is staffed by certified, highly-qualified and caring teachers; we offer a broad-based curriculum (including state of the art technological resources), and we strive to prepare our students to live as authentic disciples of Jesus and committed members of His Church.

We’re very proud of our school, and we welcome your interest in the Immaculate Conception school family- and we hope you’ll allow us to assist you in raising your children to bear much fruit as future citizens of Heaven.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Joe Esper, Pastor
