LEARNING RESOURCES

Our Learning Resources teacher provides a warm, caring, secure environment for her students while working closely with their homeroom teacher and parents. This is a needed foundation for students to learn and feel accepted. All children have the ability to learn. It is the teacher’s responsibility to discover the ways in which her students learn best and incorporate the strategies into her teaching. Children will learn to think critically and be able to analyze and problem solve, so they become life long learners and thinkers.

While Immaculate Conception School is extremely fortunate to have the services of a Learning Reinforcement Teacher, it is every child’s right within the State of Michigan to receive specific services from the public school district in which they reside; namely, a speech therapist, school social worker, and school psychologist. Therefore, specified testing for learning difficulties is available to our students pending teacher referral.
